Wagenblast Kennels is a small private kennel located in southern Ontario.
Breeding occasionally I strive to produce puppies that can do well in all areas of competition as well as being great companions. Type, temperament, soundness and health are our priorities. Health screening is done on all dogs prior to breeding and my dogs are entered into the Bernese Mountain Dog open data base - Berner Garde. I believe in the sharing of information for the good of the breed.
My dogs are companions first and foremost and are all part of the household. Puppies are born and raised indoors with play outdoors when the weather permits and are always well socialized. I take great care in placing puppies and make myself available to my puppy owners for the life of their dog and beyond!
Due to my commitment to the individual dog I keep only a few here at any one time. When they are not in the house with us they have 3 fenced acres on which to run and play. I show my own dogs and we work in obedience and draft.
My commitment to the breed as a whole runs deep and I am an active member of the Bernese Mountain Dog Clubs of Canada, Ontario, and the US as well as the Canadian Kennel Club. I am also a founding member and first President of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of South Western Ontario established in June 2010.
